Passion project
My goal today is to get everything sorted out and to know what we need to do for today and next period. What we really want is to get started on our project and start making rings and collecting our resources. previously we have been researching ideas and designs. We are going to make the rings by using hex nuts and filing the outside to make it smooth and to file the inside to make it fit our fingers. We have picked a few engraving we want to include in our rings.
I am working with my friend Nathan, we are both currently working on filing our hex nuts. Our driving question is "how to make a ring?" We've had to file the inside to fit our finger and to make it comfortable to wear. So far the only equipment we have needed and used is a file and vice. When we get it to the right shape and thickness we want we are planning to use sand paper to smooth it out and get rid of some bumps and look presentable.

Yellow Brick Road - English
Witi Imimaera is an New Zealand author from Gisborne. 21 of his stories have been adapted to screen. From what I remember I haven't really heard the yellow brick road, so personally it has no meaning to me. I predict that this story will be about a journey and people coming together to get through challenges
The narrator believes that they are moving to Wellington because they will make lots of money there and be more wealthy in Wellington then they were in Waituhi. The narrator says "Wellington is where the money is" and also mentions that Waituhi is a different place because of the people. As they are in the car they are getting many dirty looks and it seems that Waituhi is a friendlier place. The dad tells uncle Sam that they are moving to Wellington because he wanted his children to have a better life then he did. Once they get closer to Wellington the narrator becomes doubtful, he thinks that they will become rice but has doubts about living there and wants reassurance. In comparison the story shows how they are moving towards there dreams but realises that it's not exactly what he thought at all.
