For this term and next we have been doing photography. For this term we have been working on making photo montages, inspired by an an artiest called Hannah Hoch. She was great at taking parts of photos and putting the parts on other photos. Here are the 3 I've done
I am a student at in Uru MÄnuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Photography
I started off doing these this way because I didn't know what to do nor did I know how I wanted it to look. Once an idea was in my head I tried to make it which didn't work out most of the time. I did this by removing the background using remove.bg. Once I removed the background I cropped the bits I didn't want in my montage and connect it with the rest of the art. For my first time doing this I think I did alright I definitely could have done better but it's not as easy as it is to cut out paper into whatever shape you want and sick it on to something else but it's still not terrible.

Kia ora Addyson, Definitely not terrible! you have done well. I like the final of the three pieces the best, because I like the way you have manipulated the woman's face, as well as the fact that it is a woman astronaut! Good job :-) Its also nicely evident that environmental protection is a theme coming through in your work. That is lovely to be able to see your personal ideas coming through in your work and shows you listened when I went through and analysed the Hannah Hoch work in class for you guys. That is always appreciated as a teacher! Now that you know how to manage the process, what you want to make photomontages about or with in the future? Would you prefer to hand cut them instead of digitally make them?
