The game I have chosen is kabaddi. I chose this sport because I don’t know much about it and while doing my research I would like to learn a different sport.
The history
The All India Kabaddi team was formed in the 1950s to look after the promotion of the game. The National Senior championship started in 1952. The new body, Ama¬teur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) came into existence in 1972. Kabaddi took a new shape and National level competitions started for Junior and Sub-junior boys & girls also

What makes them famous?
Anup kumar was a Indian professional Kabaddi player. He was in the India national kabaddi team. They won Asian gold medals in 2010 & 2014, one South Asian gold medal in 2016 and the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup. He was also the captain of the Indian National Kabaddi Team.
What significant changes have occurred throughout its history? Rule changes, professionalism, playing equipment..?
In 2013 Marshal Sports & Star India took the initiative and came up with Pro Kabaddi League, redefining the perspective and the game altogether. The professional-level (PKL) in Kabaddi league in India and was set in motion in 2014. There were lots of doubts regarding its success but it became a ruling game from a rural game.
