Hello, Goodbye

For wananga this week our class has been working on A individual poem while sitting with people we don't usually sit with. This task got us thinking about the things we will miss at home and what stuff we won't and what we are grateful for. A hello, goodbye poem, to say goodbye to our covid-19 lives in lock down and to say Hello to normality. I feel like this helps us take a leap and move on to what is important right now.

Hello alarm waking me up in the morning
Goodbye sleep in’s

Hello face to face conversations
Goodbye google meets

Hello school packed with people
Goodbye home, family and all

Hello early dinners
Goodbye late nights

Hello freedom, fresh air and normality
Goodbye Lock down

Life in the middle ages

For social studies we have been working on black death. Witch I think is a bit of a quinncidence that when this covid-19 outbreak struck we were and still are learning about a pandemic, Also know as the black plague a deadly bacteria. Near the end of term 1 I was ready to blog my timeline l labelled as Where the black death fits in history.

During that time the people thought it was the cats that had caused this deadly outbreak, so they gathered up all the cats . But little did they know they caught the wrong thing it was infected fleas that were on the rats. The rats travelled and so did the bacteria and as the rats died the fleas would jump to people. 25 million  that is how many people died

What is the difference between a pandemic and a epidemic, A pandemic is a worldwide out break like covid-19. As it happens some pandemics can take longer to spread then other and some can be faster. A epidemic is a illness or a disease that sickens a majority of people in a area, community or region

 Key words:
Clergy: A person to take charge of religious duties
Lord: A man of noble high office known as a nobleman.
Peasants: A poor farmer who owns little or nothing
Village: An area where peasants live

here is my medieval society pyramid

To me a medieval society pyramid looks a bit like a food chain but instead of going up in what will eat what. If a shark was hungry and a fish is swimming by the shark would come along a eat it. Not saying a human will eat a human but the way it is going up it goes from poorest to richest

I see poor people asking for help and others turning away I see sadness.
what I think life in the middle ages were like
they were though and the days dragged longer. peasants, serfs and farmers spent most of there time hoping for better and working for the lords who worked for the king. The nights spent there time on the horses as a part of the kings army. lords saw peasants, serfs and farmers as slaves. everyone looked out for themselves.

Most people though the middle ages lived out in the country while they worked as farmers. There was usually a local lord witch lived in big house (AKA a manor or castle). The local peasants would work the land for the lord. "Villeins" is what the peasants called the lords

The Cardio-Vascular system

This week for PE the task was to make and finish a slideshow about The Cardio Respiratory System.
This it to do with our heart, lungs, blood and muscles

 Here's 2 questions I had to research:

What are the three major cell types that you would find in the blood?
White Blood Cells, Red Blood Cells and Platelets

 What is there purpose?

White blood cells are an important part of the immune system. They help you fight infections by fighting bacteria, germs and viruses that grow in the body. These come from the bone marrow but circulate throughout the bloodstream.

Red blood cells contains oxygen and get rid of the carbon dioxide from your body, transporting it to the lungs for you to exhale. Red blood cells are also made in the bone marrow.

Platelets are small blood cells that help your body from clots to stop bleeding. If a blood vessel gets damaged, it sends out signs to the platelets. The platelets rush to the site of damage and they form a clot to fix the damage.
